ABOUT INTI CHAKIÑAN
Inti Chakiñan means The Sun Trail in Kichwa and El Sendero del Sol in Spanish.
The Inti Chakiñan project is located in the Andes of northern Ecuador and takes visitors from the glaciated slopes of Cayambe Volcano-right on the equator-to the lush cloud forests of the Intag River Valley-one of the world´s most bio diverse ecosystems.
Inti Chakiñan is an integrated community-based tourism project designed to promote regional solidarity, local economic integration, employment, and conservation of some of the world´s most precious cultures and ecosystems.
We use licensed native guides and a full 30% of all profit is invested directly in community development initiatives.
